JOB – Process / Continuous Improvement Engineer

LOCATION – Hordle, Hampshire

TERM- Permanent

SALARY – £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a Process, Continuous Improvement or Manufacturing Engineer / Specialist (potentially Manager) on a permanent basis for a Manufacturing client in the Hordle / Everton, Hampshire area with experience in the Engineering / Manufacturing Industry. Your main duties will include analysis of various processes, data, KPI’s, factory layouts and other areas to optimises and improve processes across the business in Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics and other areas.

The Process / Continuous Improvement Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

Qualified in a relevant Engineering / Manufacturing Degree or time served in continuous improvement / process improvement focused position.
Experience in a Continuous Improvement / Process Improvement focused role.
Previous experience working an assembly, electro-mechanical or electronics manufacturing environment.
Good knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean manufacturing methods.
Understanding of waste and material reduction techniques.
Have the ability to communicate with other members of staff and management.
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Experience working within an ISO 9001 environment would be beneficial but not essential
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Ability to work independently as well as team
Understanding of Electronics manufacturing processes – advantageous but not needed.
Formal experience in Six Sigma, value stream mapping, cycle time analysis or similar would be very beneficialThe Process / Continuous Improvement Engineer role will involve:

Analysing processes across manufacturing, Supply chain, goods in and purchasing.
Improving efficiencies in manufacturing and assembly to reduce manufacturing time and materials.
Identifying excess to help reduce waste of both labour and material.
Liaising with the management team to advise where manufacturing processes can improve efficiency, reduce waste costs and contribute culture of continuous improvement.
