Private Sector Housing Team Leader
South West
£55-£60 per hour
6-month rolling contract
Park Avenue Recruitment are working with a Local Authority in the South West who are looking for an experienced Private Sector Housing Team Leader to support their HMO Licensing and Enforcement function.
You'll be leading a team of Environmental Health / Housing Enforcement Officers while remaining hands-on with complex HMO licensing and enforcement casework.
The role will include:
Leading the HMO Licensing and Enforcement team
Managing Mandatory, Additional and Selective Licensing applications
Overseeing HHSRS inspections and complex enforcement cases
Supporting the reduction of licensing and inspection backlogs
Managing notices, civil penalties and prosecution work
Allocating workloads and supporting team performance
We're looking for:
Strong Local Authority Private Sector Housing experience
Extensive HMO licensing and enforcement knowledge
Good working knowledge of the Housing Act 2004 and HHSRS
Previous team leadership or management experience
