Providing technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to engineers within the team.
Reviewing and approving designs, calculations and technical documentation.
Working closely with clients, contractors and other design disciplines.
Identifying practical and innovative solutions to challenging temporary works problems.
Supporting business development and developing strong, long-term client relationships.
Helping shape the continued growth and technical reputation of the consultancy.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from an experienced Principal Engineer with a strong background in temporary works, structural engineering or a closely related discipline.

You'll ideally have:

A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Significant experience in temporary works design and engineering.
Strong knowledge of relevant British Standards, Eurocodes and industry guidance.
Excellent technical and problem-solving abilities.
The confidence to communicate with clients, contractors and senior stakeholders.
Chartered status, or a clear pathway towards Chartership, would be advantageous.
A commercial mindset and the ambition to play a key role in a growing consultancy.

Pension contribution.
Flexible and hybrid working options.
Professional development and ongoing technical training.
Support towards professional qualifications and Chartership.
Excellent opportunities for career progression.
A collaborative, friendly and technically driven working environment.
The chance to work on varied and challenging projects rather than repetitive design work.
A genuine opportunity to influence the direction and growth of the team.
