Principal Systems Engineer

Endeavour Recruitment have an excellent opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer to join our client based in Bristol on a contract basis. This is a hybrid role.

The role is inside IR35.

Primary Purpose:
To support and deputize for the Systems Engineering Manager in the engineering delivery of the Maritime Electronic Warfare System Integration Capability (MEWSIC) programme. Responsibilities include providing technical leadership, Systems Engineering (SE) management, and domain knowledge consultancy.

Required Skills and Experience:
• Engineering/technical management experience, preferably in delivering equipment/system programmes for a MoD customer.
• Familiarity with MoD procurement processes, project delivery practices, and technical standards compliance.
• Experience in delivering C5ISR systems throughout the SE lifecycle, including an understanding of the CADMID lifecycle and its alignment with systems/product lifecycles.
• Expertise in one of the following areas:

* Electronic Warfare systems

* Combat Management Systems/Shared Infrastructure

* Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance

* Military RADAR systems

* Military communications networks (WAN and LAN)

* SOSA
• Knowledgeable in the MoD Knowledge in Defence (KiD) framework and associated design, build, test, and acceptance processes.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results on time, meeting cost and quality targets, and taking ownership of problems/issues while working diligently towards resolution.
• Proactive and capable of operating with minimal supervision.
• Effective communicator, both written and oral, able to liaise at all levels with customers/stakeholders.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Experience with commercial SE and modeling tools is desirable (e.g., Rhapsody, DOORS, UML).
• Capable of obtaining SC security clearance at a minimum, with potential for Develop Vetting (DV) and STRAP clearance.
