STEM Recruitment is seeking a Principal Scientist with experience of Biophysics for a role based in Edinburgh. You will lead Drug Discovery projects, providing scientific leadership and applying expertise across various biophysical techniques such as SPR, GCI, ITC, DLS, DSF, and SEC-MALS. Your responsibilities include managing projects from initial client discussions to successful delivery, generating high-quality data, contributing to business proposals, and mentoring junior team members. The role requires a strong background in Pharmaceutical or related scientific fields, with extensive experience applying biophysical techniques in Drug Discovery settings, and preferably some experience in Protein Science or Structural Biology.

* Degree in a relevant field plus PhD or equivalent experience

* Proven success leading scientific, client-facing projects

* Experience across a broad range of biophysical techniques, including SPR, GCI, ITC, DLS, DSF, and SEC-MALS.

* Background in CRO, biotech, pharma, or academia
