Principal RF Hardware Engineer
Norwich
£85,000 per annum

Service Service is recruiting for an experienced Principal RF Hardware Engineer to join an established engineering business developing precision RF and electrical calibration equipment.
This is a senior technical role responsible for the design, simulation, validation and lifecycle of RF and mixed-signal hardware, from concept through to production.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead architecture and design of precision RF and mixed-signal hardware.
* Design across DC to 27GHz, with 50GHz+ experience desirable.
* Perform RF simulation, modelling and analysis using tools such as ADS, AWR, HFSS or CST.
* Use VNAs, spectrum/phase-noise analysers, signal generators, power meters and TDRs.
* Lead design reviews, verification, risk management and component obsolescence.
* Work closely with manufacturing and test teams on design-for-manufacture and yield.
* Provide technical leadership and mentoring across the engineering team.
* Contribute to future RF technology and product development.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Degree qualified in Electrical, Electronic, RF or Microwave Engineering.
* 10+ years' hands-on precision RF/mixed-signal hardware experience.
* Proven track record of taking RF products into production.
* Strong knowledge of low phase noise, signal generation, frequency conversion and signal integrity.
* Experience with RF simulation and test equipment.
* Good understanding of metrology and measurement traceability.
* Strong technical leadership and communication skills.
