My Client, a specialist UK based Environmental Consultancy who specialise in Hydrology, Groundwater and Hydrogeology, is searching for a Principal Hydrologist to join a friendly and supportive team.
Candidates are required to have a strong academic background in Hydrology, Engineering or Environmental Management and have vast experience completing Flood Risk Assessments,, Hydrological Assessments, surface water management plans, natural flood management and wetland restoration.
Applicants are also required to have a keen interest in project management, mentoring and business development.
This exciting opportunity will offer you the chance to grow and develop a new hydrology team based in Shrewsbury. With support from a friendly team you will be expected to grow a team, mentor new team members, manage projects and develop new business opportunities with new and existing Clients from both the private and public sectors.
You will be expected to complete varied flood risk, hydrological, flood alleviation and water quality projects for Private Sector Developers and Public Sector Clients/Government Bodies.
You will be required to lead the following;
-Flood Risk Assessments.
-Flood and Flow Estimation.
-Hydrological Assessments.
-Surface Water Management Plans and Catchment Management Plans.
-Catchment Analysis.
-Water Supply and Disposal.
-SuDS Strategies.
-Flood Alleviation using nature based solutions.
-Natural Flood Management, Wetland Restoration and Re-wetting of Wetlands.
-Water Quality and Water Balancing.
