Principal Hardware Engineer - Satellite Communications | Loughborough, UK | Hybrid | £70,000 - £100,000
Lynx is working with leading technology company, which is seeking a talented Principal Hardware Engineer to drive the design and development of cutting-edge satellite communications payload architecture. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the rapidly evolving space industry while working with a dedicated and passionate team.
Responsibilities:
* Define and design next-generation payload computer product requirements and conduct meticulous trade-offs
* Design complex high-speed digital/analogue circuit boards for pre-production prototypes
* Procure and integrate evaluation modules and reference designs to complete proof-of-concept operations
* Collaborate closely with international satellite development teams across various disciplines
* Actively contribute to and lead the payload computer roadmap
* Prepare comprehensive documentation for design reviews and effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences
Requirements:
* Extensive experience in electronics hardware design, including analysis, simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, and testing
* Proven experience in leading the design and development of complex communications systems
* Design experience with complex microprocessor/DSP devices and on-board high-speed data buses
* Proficiency in circuit analysis using suitable simulation tools
* Hands-on problem-solving skills using test equipment
* Experience with the full V-Model design cycle, from requirement capture through to design verification
