Description:

Principal Electronics Design Engineer required to join a leading supplier of safety systems to the off-highway vehicle sector.

Our client is a leading developer of specialised Electronics Control systems for the off-highway and construction vehicles sector. They now seek an experienced, degree qualified Principal Electronics Design Engineer to support their ever-growing market for safety related products. This is an exciting, multi-disciplined role offering diversity and variety in day to day activities.

About you and the Role:

Ideally educated to Degree or Chartered Engineer level with recognised professional trade body accreditation (IMechE, IET), you will have a proven track-record of developing electronic products, ideally including the design of PCB using 3D CAD and creating associated circuit diagrams/schematics, strain gauge applications, vehicle control systems, software development using C and C++ and MCU projects.

You will take on new product development from the initial customer requirement stage and follow the development project through all stages to completion and manufacture.

You will work in collaboration with Senior Engineers as well as other team members at all levels including assembly/manufacturing teams.

You will also need to be familiar with writing technical documentation, including Test specifications, Test plans and technical reports.

The ability to develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD would be beneficial but not essential.

You will be comfortable working in a small team with the ability to work independently and be a confident communicator with project stakeholders, customers and suppliers at all levels.

Benefits:

As well as an attractive salary, our Client also offers a generous contributory pension scheme and profit-related bonus scheme. There is also the opportunity to develop your skills and experiences in the multi- function role and career development is actively supported.

Excellent, friendly working environment and free parking

Applications:

Applications are welcomed from Candidates who possess the relevant skills and experience as detailed in the job description.

Recent Graduates who do not have the required level of skills and experience need not apply.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK before making an application and it is the responsibility of the applicant to provide evidence of such eligibility
