Principal Electrical Design Engineer (Renewable Energy)
Employment Type: Permanent, full-time
Location: Doncaster, hybrid working is an option
Hours: 8am- 4pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience

We are currently recruiting for a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join our client's team and work with a pioneering product within the renewable energy sector. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will report to the Process Engineering Manager and be involved in projects from concept to commissioning. You will collaborate closely with the mechanical, process, production, commissioning.
Example of Responsibilities as the Graduate Civil Engineer
Lead the Electrical Engineering Design process, including the creation, modification, and production of schematics, loop drawings, cable routing, panel layout drawings, block cable diagrams, and motor starter panels.
Undertake the electrical functional design of control systems.
Provide support to production teams and oversee the work of electrical installation engineers.
Strategic decision-making, to influence the overall designs and drive innovation.
Develop detailed documentation, including scope of works, bills of materials, termination schedules, equipment data sheets, cable schedules, labelling schedules, proof testing documents, and cable transfer documents.
Ensure that as-built electrical documents are complete and ready for factory acceptance testing.
Offer comprehensive commissioning support.
Experience/ Skills Required
Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Electronics or something similar.
Extensive experience in designing electrical systems in accordance with IEC 61508 and IEC 61511.
Understanding of Functional Safety Assessments and SIL verification
Competent with Microsoft Packages.
Strong work ethic with the ability to produce accurate work to strict project deadlines,
Be able to manage time and priorities individually and work well as a team.
