Your Future Team:

The Electrical Design Engineer will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team within the Approving Authority, the primary purpose of the role is to directly support current operations and future programmes. Supporting nuclear facilities & the delivery of services across both Client Sites near Helensburgh.

Your Missions

???? Manage Infrastructure Design Substantiation documents.
???? Handle design changes/concessions.
???? Present Design substantiations to safety committees.
???? Develop EIMT Schedule, procedures, and results.
???? Produce Periodic Review of Safety reports.
????️ Advise internal and external stakeholders.
????️‍♂️ Conduct Independent Technical Review.
????️ Apply engineering knowledge to nuclear/high-risk environments.
????️ Justify civil/structural design modifications.
???? Review reports and safety submissions.

Qualifications

???? Knowledge of current design standards and practices, including British & European Standards.
⚡ Theoretical and practical skills across concept, detailed design, and construction stages for electrical engineering projects.
????️ Experience in assessing electrical plant and equipment for hazards.
???? Specifying electrical systems/components for HV & LV networks at 50Hz & 60Hz.
???? Authoring technical justifications for electrical design modifications in high hazard industries.
???? Familiarity with industrial machinery like pumps, generators, HVAC, SCADA, PAVA Systems, etc.
???? Experience in multi-discipline projects providing electrical engineering input, especially in industrial/maritime sectors.
????️ Experienced in high-risk environments.
????️ Familiarity with safety case development techniques like HAZID/HAZOP studies.
???? Worked in the UK nuclear industry (energy or defense), especially in safety-related structures, systems, and components.
???? Knowledge of UK and US nuclear industry regulations, and application of nuclear-specific codes and standards.

Additional Information

???? Hybrid role with visits to client site near Helensburgh & Glasgow offices.
???? Security Clearance: SC, UK National.
???? BEng in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
???? Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent experience.
