Job Title: Principal Data Analyst

Location: London Road, Reading RG1 5AN

Trust: Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust

Shift Patterns: Full-time, Monday to Friday, either 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, totalling 37.5 working hours per week. (3 Days Work from Office and rest days’ Work from Home)

Pay Rate: £29.33/Hr.

JOB SUMMARY:

They will also lead the use and application of performance monitoring techniques within a specific care group. Direct and change perspectives on information collection and analysis at all levels across the organisation, promoting the use of high-quality information to inform effective decision-making. Responsible for the successful delivery of Trust wide core information processes and services required by the organisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* To manage the relationship between informatics and one of the Trust Care Groups.

* To jointly manage the prioritization of projects to be delivered by information to the Trust.

* To provide advice and guidance to members of staff on matters related to their work.

* Lead on the Informatics development and implementation of healthcare and performance information, reports and KPIs to help achieve the agreed Strategic Objectives and Breakthrough Priorities.

* To manage the informatics involvement in any projects related to the monitoring of healthcare and performance.

* To manage and liaise with internal and external stakeholders involved in the flow of data and information.

* To analyse and interpret multiple highly complex healthcare datasets.

* Correctly manage complex cross linking between datasets.

* To contribute to Information Governance through ensuring the NHS deals with sensitive information in legal, secure, efficient and effective ways.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

* Significant experience of using NHS datasets for analysis and modelling.

* Significant experience of working at a senior management level in a fast-paced informatics environment.

* Experience of working in Information Management.

* Experience of change management approaches within the healthcare environment.

* Demonstrable experience of applying advance theoretical knowledge in the production and use of operational efficiency and costing reports, leading to practical developments in this area e.g. KPI’s, dashboards, board reports, performance and quality schedules, monitoring frameworks etc.

* Excellent technical informatics skills with Advanced SQL, Advanced Excel.

* Ability to design and build dashboards using Business Intelligence tools e.g. Tableau, SSRS etc

* Ability to gather, analyse, interpret and present complex data and information.

* Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to think beyond boundaries, the ability to consider different approaches and solutions.

* Knowledge of healthcare reporting and performance measurement.

This role may require you to show evidence Diploma or ECDL or at least 2 years relevant experience.
