Principal Civil/ Structural Engineer

Up to £75,000 + Benefits
Our client is working to create a safe and secure world and, if you join them, you can play your part as a Principal Civil/Structural Engineer. You will be trusted to undertake projects through the entire project lifecycle, from initial scheme and concept design, right through to eventual decommissioning. This is particularly unique within a consultancy environment and what makes their projects and work so rewarding.
The role:
Leading role within a dynamic design team undertaking traditional, bespoke and innovative designs.
Design loading scenarios, including seismic design.
You will provide technical leadership and expertise, taking on the role of Technical Lead on specific projects when required.
Delivery of Nuclear design work, inspections and construction site support on projects for a range of public and private sector clients within the UK and overseas.
Concept and Feasibility studies for multi discipline design projects.
Analysis and Design using engineering software such as Tekla and Robot as well as producing hand calculations.
Prepare Calculations, CDM activities, Basis of Design, Material Specifications, Scopes of Work, Technical reports, Inter discipline design coordination and supervision.
Be responsible for the management of project delivery, as well as people management of Senior CS&A Engineers and CS&A Engineers.
About you:
Degree Qualified (BEng or MEng), Civil / Structural Engineer
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with membership of ICE or IStructE or working towards.
Significant experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork.
Awareness and experience of using the latest design codes and standards. Understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory standards.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
