Brook View School is a Residential Special School is located in Ribchester, Lancashire.

The School offers a fully integrated approach to the Education, Care and Clinical support for young people aged 8 to 18 years, who come to us on a full time, residential basis from across the country, with a range of Autistic Spectrum and associated complex needs.

Set in over 20 acres of beautiful countryside with the potential for forest dens and classrooms, gardens, stables, tracks and trails, our teams will have the chance to build an amazing landscape for nurturing and developing the creativity and imagination of our children and young people.

Brook View pupils are fully supported with a tailored programme for their Care and Education and we deliver rich and innovative experiences, playing to each child’s strengths, to prepare them for their lives ahead.

We are looking for an outstanding leader who can demonstrate a proven successful track record, comprehensive understanding of both the Education and Care setting for SEN, and the drive to develop positive and engaging relationships with all the key stakeholders working closely with our teams.

You will be an expert in your field, bringing the best in classroom experience alongside a clear vision and understanding of the link between leadership and true impact.  This role will require you to lead the Residential aspect of the site as the Responsible Individual (RI) also and we encourage applicants with similar experience (especially within Autism) to express their interest.

You will have a real eye for detail – knowing that our absolute commitment to the Safeguarding of our children and young people is our top priority. You will be able to demonstrate a detailed and insightful understanding of the regulatory environment that we operate in and the demands that this places on all aspects of our work.

Any successful application to this role will be subject to Enhanced DBS and Reference Checking in line with Government regulations and Safer Recruitment best practice.

This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the search and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
