A highly regarded primary school in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact on children's academic journey.
Key Responsibilities:
1:1 Support: Provide targeted one-to-one support to Year 6 pupils, helping them to achieve their full potential in preparation for their exams in May 2025.
Small Group Support: Facilitate small group sessions focusing on core subjects, offering personalised assistance to ensure comprehensive understanding and progress.
Exam Preparation: Assist pupils in developing effective study habits and exam techniques, ensuring they are well-prepared and confident for their upcoming exams.
Learning Enhancement: Implement engaging and interactive activities to reinforce learning objectives, supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality education.
Progress Monitoring: Track and report on pupils’ progress, identifying areas for improvement and working collaboratively with teachers to address these.
Classroom Assistance: Provide general support within the classroom, including administrative tasks, preparing resources, and creating a positive learning environment.
Person Specification:
A recent graduate with a strong academic background.
Passionate about education and supporting children's learning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Proactive and adaptable, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting, is desirable but not essential.
