GSL Education is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work within a Primary school in Goole.
About the Role: We're seeking a Teaching Assistant for a mixture of general classroom support and One-to-One support for a student with undiagnosed SEN including Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). This role is vital in ensuring that the student receives the personalized attention and assistance they need to thrive in their educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one support to a student with ADHD
Assist in implementing individual education plans
Facilitate a positive learning environment
Support the class teacher with general duties and additional support for a student with SEN in both academic and social activities
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other staff members
Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe and inclusive environment
Requirements:
Level 2 'Educational' qualification or equivalent is desirable though not essential as we can provide the training to receive a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
Experience working with children with SEN, specifically ADHD and behavioural needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and flexible
A commitment to promoting exclusivity and equality
