The Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you’ll support pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing. Depending on the role, you may be:
* Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
* Helping children access lessons and build confidence.
* Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs.
* Encouraging positive behaviour and independence.
* Working closely with teachers and support staff.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience working with children or young people is essential.
* Experience can be from a school, nursery, childcare, tutoring, youth work, sports, care, mentoring or other child-focused setting.
* A patient, resilient and compassionate approach.
* The ability to build positive relationships and adapt support to individual needs.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
