A warm, nurturing primary phase within a respected all‑through school in Tonypandy is seeking Primary Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2026. JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils aged 3–11 with a variety of ALN, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and build essential social and emotional skills. Your role will include:

Early‑Years & KS2 Support — Working with pupils in Nursery, Foundation Phase, and Key Stage 2, adapting activities to meet individual needs.

1:1 and Small‑Group Work — Supporting children with ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, developmental delays, and emotional/behavioural needs.
*
Classroom Support — Assisting teachers with differentiated tasks, phonics activities, literacy/numeracy boosters, and hands‑on learning.
*
Pastoral & Wellbeing Support — Helping pupils regulate emotions, build friendships, and develop independence through positive reinforcement and nurturing relationships.
*
Creative Learning — Supporting play‑based learning, outdoor activities, sensory tasks, and structured interventions within the school’s ALN provision.
You will need to be patient, encouraging, and able to create a safe, positive learning environment where young children feel supported and motivated.
Daily pay rate: £92 – £100 per day (experience dependent)
