We are partnering with a number of primary schools across the NP44 area that are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 settings from October 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to gain valuable classroom experience within welcoming and supportive school environments.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.
Working with small groups and individual pupils to support learning outcomes.
Encouraging pupil participation, confidence and independence.
Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support.
Helping to create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Requirements

Previous experience working with children, young people or within an educational setting is desirable.
A positive, patient and adaptable approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
