Year 2 Primary Teacher

Location: Stockport Area
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Long-Term
Hours: Full-Time (5 Days per Week)
Pay: Competitive daily rates, paid weekly via our in-house PAYE payroll

Premier Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Stockport area seeking an experienced Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September on a full-time, long-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and committed practitioner with strong Key Stage 1 experience. The school is looking for someone who can quickly establish high expectations, build positive relationships, and support pupils through this important stage of their primary education.

The Role:

Full class teaching responsibility for a Year 2 class
Planning and delivering engaging, creative, and effective lessons
Assessing and monitoring pupil progress against Key Stage 1 expectations
Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Working closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
Contributing positively to the wider life of the school

Candidate Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Recent experience teaching Year 2 or Key Stage 1
Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment requirements
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
A proactive, enthusiastic, and professional approach
Ability to inspire and motivate young learners
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
