Job Requirements of this Primary Teacher and Assistant SENCO role in Woking
Qualified teacher status (QTS)
Experience working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Ability to balance teaching responsibilities (3 days) with SENCO duties (2 days)
Understanding of trauma-informed practice and attachment theory
Commitment to developing engaging and differentiated lessons
Manage complex and challenging behaviours with a nurturing approach
Collaborate effectively with therapy professionals, parents/carers, and local authority teams
This role involves teaching and supporting children aged 11 to 17 with diverse backgrounds and special needs. The successful candidate will be part of a trauma and attachment-informed organisation, ensuring high-quality, therapeutic, and child-centred education. They will play a key role in inspiring students, developing curriculum, and providing outstanding outcomes for all children.
