Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Primary Teacher looking for your next opportunity in Walsall?
We are working in partnership with a welcoming, two-form entry primary school rated 'Good' by Ofsted, who are seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their supportive and hardworking team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who can create an engaging learning environment, inspire young learners and support pupils as they build confidence and prepare for the transition into Key Stage 2.
The Role - Year 2 Teacher
Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 national curriculum.
Prepare pupils for their end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments, including phonics, reading, writing and mathematics where appropriate.
Use assessment effectively to monitor progress, identify learning needs and support pupil attainment.
Establish a positive classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour, achievement and inclusion.
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities, including those requiring additional support.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and parents to promote pupil progress and wellbeing.
The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has experience teaching Year 2 or across Key Stage 1, although strong primary practitioners with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Has a secure understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and effective assessment strategies.
Is confident in teaching early reading, phonics, writing and mathematics.
Demonstrates strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
Is enthusiastic, nurturing and committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.
