Job Requirements of this Primary Teacher job in Birmingham
The primary teacher must hold a recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent). Have experience working with primary-aged children or secondary children, or the desire to adapt to secondary age, is required for the primary teacher.
The primary teacher should have the ability to manage challenging behaviours associated with a range of complex conditions, including ASD, ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties.
A proven track record of supporting students with special educational needs is essential for the primary teacher.
Flexibility and adaptability to provide targeted support to students are crucial qualities for the primary teacher.
Additionally, the primary teacher must demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people aged 11-16 years who experience social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
Many of the students have exhibited challenging behaviours in previous settings and have a history of multiple school changes and periods out of full-time education.
