Supply Desk are currently looking for a Qualified Teacher to join our client school, this is an ‘good’ primary school in the Watford area.
The school is looking to appoint a Key Stage 2 Teacher for a September start. They will consider NQT’s as well as experienced teachers. The school is situated in Watford and it is easily accessible by public transport and has onsite car parking for staff. The school has been graded good in their last inspection and the standards of the school have not dropped since. There is a solid team across the school and strong Senior Leadership management ensures a low staff turnover.
The School is known for the children’s exceptional behaviour and supportive parents. The school consists of many outdoor spaces and large classrooms with a variety of resources to aid in teaching. The school also have the latest smart boards and each staff member receives their own laptop and tablet.
The Headteacher believes in a good work-life balance and discourages teachers taking work home, she accommodates this with a sufficient timetabled PPA slot and a simplified marking policy.
Job Description:
• To deliver outstanding teaching and learning and therefore help students achieve excellent academic results and be a role-model. CPD opportunities will be provided.
• To design an engaging and challenging curriculum that inspires children to appreciate the range of subjects and their application.
• To join a fantastic and friendly team who are supportive and will help with transitions. You will have a full-time classroom teaching assistant.
Our ideal candidate will:
• Qualified Teacher status or equivalent
• Knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
• Experience of teaching KS2 (Preferable but not essential)
• Passion for working with children
• Strong communication skills: written and verbal
• Good timekeeping and organisational skills
• An enthusiastic, flexible, can-do attitude
• Strong behaviour management with a calm approach
• Clear DBS
