Location: Northfleet, Kent

Pay: Paid to scale 

Contract: Full-time – Maternity Cover

Start Date: October 2026 to July 2027

The Supply Register is currently working in partnership with Shears Green Infant School to recruit a passionate and motivated EYFS/KS1 Teacher for a full-time maternity cover position starting in October 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming infant school that is part of the Hornchurch Academy Trust, where collaboration, professional development, and pupil wellbeing are at the heart of school life.

We are looking for a committed teacher or a early career teacher (ECT) who can create engaging learning experiences and inspire young learners within a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons across EYFS/KS1
Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Work closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil progress
Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential 
Recent experience teaching within EYFS or KS1
A strong understanding of early learning and child development
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A positive and proactive approach to teaching and learning
