Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and inspiring Year 2 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Watford from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to helping pupils build on the strong foundations established in Key Stage 1. The successful candidate will create a stimulating, engaging, and supportive learning environment where every child feels valued, challenged, and motivated to achieve their full potential.

Working as part of a collaborative and experienced Key Stage 1 team, you will plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development. You will assess progress effectively, prepare pupils for the end of Key Stage 1 expectations, and build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues. The school is looking for a teacher who is committed to maintaining high expectations for all learners while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Whether you are an experienced Key Stage 1 Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a supportive and forward-thinking school community.

The Role

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum, with a focus on Year 2 learning objectives.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that supports every pupil's learning and development.
• Assess, monitor, and track pupils' progress, using assessment to inform future planning and ensure excellent outcomes.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
• Contribute to the wider school community through enrichment activities and school events.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
• Uphold high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in a Year 2 class, in a UK primary school.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Has a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum and Year 2 assessment expectations.
• Is passionate about delivering engaging, high-quality teaching that inspires every child to succeed.
• Promotes inclusive teaching practices and supports the needs of every pupil.
• Has a thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

What We Offer

• Competitive weekly pay in line with the MPS/UPS pay scale.
• Dedicated support from experienced local education consultants.
• Access to high-quality CPD and professional development opportunities.
• Comprehensive safeguarding training.
• Opportunities to work within supportive and well-resourced schools.
• Weekly pay with a straightforward payroll process.
• Refer a Friend Scheme – earn £100 for every successful referral who completes five or more shifts.

If you're a committed Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in Watford, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today to secure your role for September.
