Description:

We are recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Primary Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Telford from January 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for a Year 2 class on a maternity cover basis, initially running from January until July 2027, with the potential for the role to continue beyond this date.

The Role

* Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum

* Completing marking and assessment

* Monitoring and supporting pupil progress

* Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

* Working closely with the school's experienced Teaching Assistant

* Working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school team

* Maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning

The school is very welcoming and supportive, and there will be a handover period with the current class teacher to ensure a smooth transition before the maternity leave begins.

You will also have the support of an experienced Teaching Assistant who already works within the class.

The Ideal Candidate

* Has experience teaching within a primary school

* Is confident teaching a Year 2 class

* Can take full class responsibility

* Has strong knowledge of the primary curriculum

* Is confident with planning, marking and assessment

* Builds positive relationships with pupils and staff

* Is organised, reliable and enthusiastic

* Is committed to providing a high standard of education and support to pupils

Interviews will take place at the school after the October half term.
