Exciting PPA Teacher Opportunity in Wigan!
Are you a passionate and adaptable educator looking for flexible, rewarding work across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Wigan to find a dedicated PPA Teacher starting in late November.
This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers who love inspiring young minds, covering diverse subjects, and experiencing different year groups without the full weight of permanent classroom planning and marking.
Role Details:
Position: PPA Teacher (KS1 & KS2)
Location: Wigan
Start Date: Late November 2026
Pay Rate: Competitive daily rates (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) and Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6) while regular teachers complete their PPA time.
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment aligned with the school's high standards.
Follow pre-set lesson plans and adapt effectively to the needs of different classes and age groups.
Manage classroom behaviour constructively and encourage active student participation.
What We Are Looking For:
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
You must have the legal right to work in the UK
