About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and talented Class Teacher to join a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Potters Bar from September 2026. This is a full-time position, with the ideal placement in Year 3; however, the school is flexible and will consider teachers with strengths and experience across either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.

The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons, inspiring pupils to achieve their full potential, and creating a positive, inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum.
Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment where pupils can flourish.
Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring every child is challenged and supported.
Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to maximise achievement.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents/carers to support positive outcomes for pupils.
Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment opportunities and school events.
Uphold high expectations for behaviour, achievement, attendance, and safeguarding.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly encouraged to apply and will benefit from a comprehensive induction and mentoring programme.
Experience teaching within a primary school setting across either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
A creative, reflective, and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
