Education First are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Croydon on a long-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Primary Teacher or an enthusiastic ECT looking to develop their teaching career within a supportive school environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, creating a positive classroom environment and supporting pupils to achieve their academic and personal potential.
The Role – Primary Teacher
* Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
* Teaching pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, depending on experience and school requirements.
* Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
* Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
* Differentiating lessons to meet the individual needs and abilities of all pupils.
* Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations for learning and conduct.
* Building strong, positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
* Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching strategies to support learning.
* Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other school staff.
* Supporting pupils with SEN and additional learning needs where required.
* Contributing to the wider life of the school and promoting a positive school community.
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification, where required.
* Previous experience teaching in a primary school setting.
* Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
* A passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential.
* Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
* The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* A patient, caring and adaptable approach to teaching.
* Experience supporting pupils with SEN is desirable.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school environment.
