About the Role:

GSL Educationare currently seeking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic Teaching assistant to undertake a position at one of our client primary schools in Sheffield. Teaching Assistants in primary schools play a crucial role in supporting teachers, meeting the diverse needs of students, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to academic achievement and personal development. Role of a Teaching Assistant:

As assist teachers in delivering lessons by preparing materials, setting up equipment, and supporting students during activities and tasks. They help maintain a positive and productive learning environment, ensuring that students stay focused and engaged.
Teaching assistance works with small groups of students or individuals who require additional help or guidance. They provide targeted support to reinforce learning objectives, assist with assignments, and help students develop specific skills in subjects like literacy, numeracy, and science.
TAs support the maintenance of classroom discipline and manage student behavior. They implement behavior management strategies established by teachers, intervening as necessary to address disruptions and maintain a positive learning environment conducive to academic achievement.
Teaching assistance may assists teachers in administering assessments, grading assignments, and providing feedback to students. They help collect and analyze data on student progress, contributing to the assessment process and informing instructional planning and intervention strategies.
The successful candidate will:

Have previous experience working as a Teaching assistance within a Primary educational setting.
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students facing academic or behavioral challenges.
Hold relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or a related field.
Are passionate about supporting the learning and development of student and making a positive difference in their lives.
