Salary: £120 - £180 per day

GSL Education is seeking a skilled Primary SEND Teacher for a role in a primary school in Tyne and Wear.

Job Primary Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) teacher plays a crucial role in supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities within the primary school setting.

Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of students with SEND.
Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs.
Collaborate with teaching assistants, support staff, and external professionals to provide comprehensive support.
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and independence.
Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and caregivers.
Contribute to the wider school community through participation in staff meetings, training sessions, and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience working with children with SEND in a primary school setting.
A thorough understanding of SEND legislation and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to teaching.
Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to learn new strategies and techniques.
