Job Title:  Primary SEN Teacher 
Location:  Baston House School, Bromley, Kent, BR2 7AB
Hours:      37.5 per week | Monday–Friday | 8.30am - 4.30pm
Salary:      Up to £50,500 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract:  Permanent | Term Time Only
Start:        September 2026

In this rewarding role, you will deliver high‑quality, personalised teaching to primary-aged pupils with a range of SEN needs, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally. What You’ll Do:

Teach and Inspire: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of primary-aged pupils with SEN, fostering curiosity, confidence, and independence.

Support Individual Progress: Monitor, assess, and celebrate student achievements, ensuring each child’s learning journey is meaningful and well-supported.

Create a Positive Environment: Develop stimulating classroom spaces, displays, and resources that promote engagement and a love of learning.

Develop Personalised Plans: Create and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies that reflect each pupil’s unique needs.

Collaborate and Lead: Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team—including therapists, support staff, and senior leaders—to ensure consistent, high-quality provision.

Safeguard and Support: Prioritise pupil wellbeing, safety, and emotional development while promoting self-regulation and positive behaviour.

Stay Ahead: Engage in ongoing professional development to ensure your practice reflects the latest SEN and primary education approaches.

What We’re Looking For:

QTS or equivalent required

Experience or strong interest in working with primary-aged pupils with SEN

A nurturing, patient, and resilient approach

Strong classroom management skills, including supporting pupils with challenging behaviours

A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills

Commitment to helping every child reach their full potential—academically, socially, and emotionally
