Teaching Personnel are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a warm, forward-thinking primary school team in the Swansea area. This is a hands-on, purposeful role that is deeply rewarding. Daily Rate: £92.63 per day
What You’ll Be Doing as A Teaching Assistant

Working alongside class teachers to support general, whole‑class learning.
Supporting behaviour for learning and promoting positive routines.
Preparing resources, setting up activities, and maintaining a calm classroom atmosphere.
Assisting individual pupils within the mainstream environment to help them regulate and focus.
Creating a supportive, encouraging environment where children can practise skills at their own pace.
Building trusting relationships that help children feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.

 Your Day May Also Include

Delivering targeted one-to-one support for specific pupils.
Leading small group interventions to boost social and academic skills.
Supporting learners within mainstream classrooms during integration periods.
Delivering personalised learning activities tailored to individual needs.
Following Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
Supporting communication, emotional regulation, and social development.
Supporting pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes, and educational visits

Essential Requirements

Personal or professional experience supporting children
Minimum of 5 GCSE’s including English and Mathematics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
An enhanced DBS registered on the update service (Or willing to apply)
It is also desirable to have previous experience working with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
