About the Role:

An inclusive and dynamic primary school in Tooting is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis for a job share arrangement. This role is focused on teaching Year 2 students and involves working collaboratively with another teacher to deliver a high-quality educational experience. The position is for 3 days per week, starting in September.

Key Responsibilities:

Shared Teaching Responsibilities: Work closely with a job share partner to plan, deliver, and assess the Year 2 curriculum.
Classroom Management: Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active learning and student engagement.
Student Assessment: Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and reporting to parents and senior staff.
Curriculum Planning: Collaborate with the job share partner to plan and implement effective lessons and activities that cater to the diverse needs of the students.
Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents, carers, and colleagues to support student development and well-being.
Pastoral Care: Provide support and guidance to students, fostering their emotional and social development.
Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and curriculum changes.

Ideal Candidate:

Experience: Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting, ideally with experience in teaching Year 2.
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant teaching qualifications.
Skills: Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a co-teacher and other staff members.
Flexibility: Adaptable and able to manage a shared teaching role effectively.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
Commitment: Dedicated to providing high-quality education and fostering a nurturing learning environment.
