Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Year 2 Class Teacher to join our team starting in September. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education, fostering a love for learning, and inspiring our Year 2 students to excel.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum and school objectives.

2. Differentiate instruction to meet the individual learning needs of students and ensure inclusivity within the classroom.

3. Create a positive and supportive classroom environment conducive to academic and personal growth.

4. Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.

5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans, sharing resources and best practices.

6. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and other relevant data, adhering to school policies.

7. Establish effective communication channels with parents/guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and address any concerns.

8. Foster positive behavior management strategies, promoting a culture of respect, cooperation, and responsibility among students.

9. Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required.

10. Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure the well-being and safety of all students at all times.

Qualifications:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

2. Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to undergo background checks.

3. Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably in a Year 2 classroom.

4. Knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.

6. Creativity, adaptability, and enthusiasm for teaching and learning.

7. ECTs (Early Career Teachers) are welcome to apply, with appropriate support and mentoring provided.

8. Organizational skills and attention to detail in lesson planning, assessment, and record-keeping.
