Salary: £140 - £195 per day (dependent on experience)

Job Description

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Preston is seeking a dedicated and flexible PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis with an immediate start. This role will involve covering classes across both Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2), delivering high-quality teaching and ensuring continuity of learning during teachers' PPA time.

The successful candidate will be confident teaching across a range of year groups and subjects, maintaining high standards of classroom practice and creating engaging learning experiences for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2 during teachers' PPA time.
Provide engaging and effective teaching that supports pupil progress and achievement.
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of learners across different year groups.
Create and maintain a positive, inclusive and productive classroom environment.
Uphold school policies relating to behaviour management and safeguarding.
Assess pupil understanding and provide feedback where appropriate.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and school leaders to ensure continuity of learning.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching within a primary school setting across KS1 and KS2.
Strong classroom management skills and the flexibility to teach a variety of subjects and age groups.
A commitment to providing high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment.
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
