Experienced Primary Class Teacher Wanted

A successful and community-focused primary school in Tower Hamlets is looking to appoint an ambitious Primary Class Teacher to join its Upper KS2 team from September 2026.

The school has a strong reputation for pupil achievement and is particularly proud of the progress pupils make during their final years of primary education. Staff work within a structured curriculum framework, allowing teachers to focus on high-quality teaching while benefiting from shared planning and strong leadership support.

The successful Primary Class Teacher will take responsibility for a Year 6 class, helping pupils prepare academically and personally for the transition to secondary school.

The Role

As a Primary Class Teacher, you will:

Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across the curriculum
Prepare pupils for end-of-year assessments in a balanced and supportive manner
Track progress and implement targeted interventions where required
Foster independence, resilience and a love of learning
Work closely with colleagues to share resources and best practice

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for a Primary Class Teacher who:

Holds QTS and has recent UK primary teaching experience
Has strong knowledge of Upper KS2 expectations
Demonstrates excellent classroom management
Maintains high expectations for attainment and behaviour
Is organised, reflective and committed to continuous improvementPrevious Year 6 experience is desirable but strong Upper KS2 teachers will also be considered.
