Pricing Manager

London + (Travel and Homeworking) £50-£55k

Cavendish has been instructed to identify an experienced Pricing Manager for a top 10 Security Service provider.

This exciting role offers the opportunity to sit at the senior management level and be influential in the pricing structure and strategy to give the business a strategic economic advantage commercially.

Summary of the role:

The candidate is expected to design, maintain or amend pricing and commercial models in collaboration with the business development and operational teams. End to end ownership of the pricing cycle is central to this role, and the role holder will be expected to impart commercial knowledge and guidance to achieve the most economically advantageous price point for the company and our customers.

Providing management and leadership to the Pricing Analyst, as well as significant leadership on pricing and commercial performance matters with operational managers, and clients on key accounts.

Working in a proactive partnership with Senior Finance Business Partners to review pricing strategy against financial performance to identify areas for competitive advantage.

Main responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Ability to read through a Tender document and pick out relevant information needed to build up a pricing model

They would have to demonstrate an ability to work and communicate with other members of staff Directors and current and potential clients

Required to go and present their work to potential and existing clients to elucidate pricing models and to represent Company correctly

To work alongside the Bid & Sales lead building a price in excel and transferring that price from the internal Company pricing model into the clients pricing model

To design, manipulate, analyse and interpret pricing models

To interpret incumbent TUPE information (where relevant) or proposed staffing patterns and to translate this into a comprehensive pricing model

To manage the pricing analyst providing training, guidance and support. Organising and managing the workflow for both themselves and the analyst.

Ensuring all Pricing & Pricing Assumptions are signed off and completed on time so that the bid team can submit a finished bid before the deadline given.

Other duties and responsibilities

The ability to work as an Admin within the Salesforce system to keep the system up to date with the latest opportunities, information and provide reports for the board of directors. This system is critical to the business to track how the bid team and sales teams are performing in terms of wins, loss and no bids.

Creating and updating contacts, accounts and opportunities

Building new dashboards suitable for different levels of authority within the business and populating them with relevant reports and data

Performing the role of Admin within Salesforce so creating new users and amending the salesforce system so it works for those who are using it

Provide training for members of staff who are unfamiliar with the system and all new members of staff.

Carry out any other reasonable request as required by your Line Manager or the Customer

Skills and experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word PowerPoint and Excel (IF Formulas, Vlookups etc) – preferably with a Microsoft Excel Proficiency course

An excellent understanding of maths and English

An excellent standard of written English and the ability to write to client requirements

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to review their own work prior to an official appraisal

Confident speaker, able to communicate effectively and confident to present to new and existing clients

An in-depth understanding of commercial models and some economic principles

A high-level knowledge and understanding of Salesforce and how it works and can be manipulated

Ability to lead in a transformational manner and support operations managers and clients in the pricing challenges.

Experience collaborating and liaising with Security Operations and Bids teams in a results-driven environment

Strong presentation skills

Able to demonstrate and deliver excellent customer service

Proven reliability including an ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, being able to adapt style to meet the needs of the situation.

Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary

An ability to demonstrate proactive and innovative thinking introducing this to the workplace

Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in critical situations or when under pressure

Qualifications and experience

Essential

University Degree 2-1 or above in a maths/business relevant degree

Minimum of 2-3 years working within a pricing team and or manager of the pricing team

Desirable

Worked within the security industry

Worked as a senior manager previously
