Press and Weld Production Operative

Description:

We are looking for a Press and Weld Operative to work individually or as part of a team to operate a range of machinery producing metal materials with manual and automated equipment.

Working Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 16:30
Hourly Pay: £12
Temporary to Permanent after completion of 12 weeks 'probationary period'

As a Press and Weld Operative, you will have:
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Have experience of mechanical presses, spot welding with a general understanding of sheet metal processing
Practical awareness of lean manufacturing and understanding of 5S activities
Have experience of Mechanical presses, Spot welding with a general understanding of sheet metal processing
An understanding of Engineering drawings

As a Press and Weld Operative, you will:
Maintain high quality standards at all times for standard and bespoke products
Maintain a clean and tidy work area
Maintain H&S standards following instructions and wearing of appropriate PPE
Be able to work under own initiative and on occasion under pressure whilst adhering to strict deadlines and demands
Have strong problem solving skills
Have good communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge of Operational Fault Finding and problem solving
Be able to work independently and part of a team.
Have manual dexterity
Be able to demonstrate commercial awareness
Be able to manage self and assist other workers
