Preschool Room Leader
SE6, South London
Zero2Five are delighted to be working with a high-quality, independent day nursery in Hither Green, who are looking for a passionate and experienced Level 3 Room Leader to join their team and lead their Preschool Room.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced early years professional looking to lead a room, inspire and support a team, and make a real difference to children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
What We’re Looking For
Level 3 Childcare qualification (essential)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in an early years setting
Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding
Experience working with preschool-aged children
Passion for children’s learning and development
Confident, organised and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to lead and motivate a team
Room Leader Responsibilities
Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Preschool Room
Lead and support the room team, creating a positive and welcoming environment
Plan and deliver fun, engaging activities that support children’s learning and development
Embed the EYFS into everyday practice
Act as a Key Person, building strong relationships with children and families
Complete observations, assessments and next steps
Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
Support children’s independence, confidence and school readiness
Build positive relationships with parents and carers
Ensure safeguarding, health and safety procedures are followed
Support and guide staff within the room
Work closely with management to maintain high standards
Attend training and contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery
