Premises Manager

Description:

This popular primary School in South-East London is seeking a dynamic Premises Manager to join their team. Leading the Premises Assistant and cleaning team, you will be responsible for all maintenance across the school. This is an exciting time to join the school with a new state-of-the-art building featuring a dance studio, a forest school and garden area, a multi-use Games Area (MUGA) and rooftop playground/outdoor learning space.

This varied and diverse includes:

* Ensuring that the school site is maintained in a safe and secure condition.

* Conducting basic cleaning, building maintenance and repairs including in an emergency

* Conducting daily, weekly and monthly tasks in the agreed time frame

* Keeping all grounds and buildings secure including acting as a key holder and managing lettings

* Staff review and development

* Maintenance of facilities and liaising with external stakeholders

The successful candidate will have training and experience in general and ground maintenance qualified to City & Guilds or Diploma level, or equivalent in a related field. You will possess a good knowledge of health and safety regulations coupled with an understanding of appropriate cleaning procedures and overseeing contractors. A natural leader, you will effectively prioritise, plan and direct the team. You will work well under pressure, meet deadlines and can deal sensitively with people and resolve conflicts.

This is a one-year contract in the first instance, on site and all year through. To start July 2024.
