Greenwich | Term Time + Some Holiday Weeks | ASAP Start
Monday to Friday | 12:00pm - 4:00pm
£14.50 - £16.50 per hour PAYE
SANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting a reliable and proactive Premises Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Greenwich. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with site, facilities, caretaking or maintenance experience who enjoys working in a school environment and takes pride in keeping a busy school site safe, secure and well maintained.
About the School
This friendly and supportive primary school is seeking a Premises Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The role is term time plus some additional holiday weeks and offers consistent part-time hours.
Role Summary
As Premises Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school site, helping to create a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out basic maintenance and repair tasks around the school
Ensure the premises remain safe, secure and well presented
Support with room setups and school events
Complete routine health and safety checks
Monitor site security and report any concerns promptly
Assist with deliveries and the movement of equipment
Work closely with school staff to maintain high standards across the site
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience in a premises, caretaker, facilities or maintenance role is desirable
Good practical DIY and maintenance skills
Understanding of health and safety procedures
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Reliable, organised and professional approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Pay and Progression
The pay rate for this role is £14.50 to £16.50 per hour PAYE.
Candidates with previous school premises experience, strong maintenance skills, relevant health and safety knowledge, and the ability to work independently across a busy school site are most likely to be considered for the highest available rate of £16.50 per hour.
