The Opportunity

Reporting directly into senior leadership, you will be responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies throughout the preconstruction phase, ensuring projects are procured effectively, risks are managed and profitability is maximised.

Key Responsibilities

Develop commercial strategies for bids, tenders and project opportunities.
Assess client briefs and prepare cost plans and budget forecasts.
Coordinate design, sales and subcontractor teams to ensure commercial and design objectives align.
Review Employers Requirements, fit out guides and technical documentation.
Carry out site surveys and manage tendering exercises.
Assess subcontractor tenders and negotiate best value from the supply chain.
Produce detailed cost plans, commercial reports and tender documents.
Prepare and present commercial information to internal stakeholders and clients.
Manage RFIs throughout the preconstruction phase.
Coordinate procurement schedules and long-lead package procurement.
Support contract reviews and project compliance requirements.
Ensure seamless handover of commercial and technical information to project delivery teams. Requirements

Experience within commercial fit out, workplace interiors, refurbishment or design & build construction.
Strong understanding of procurement, subcontractor management and commercial strategy.
Ability to interpret project documentation, specifications and contract requirements.
Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong client-facing communication skills.
Commercially driven with the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
