An established and growing M&E contractor is looking to appoint a Pre-Construction Manager to support its continued expansion. With a strong pipeline of secured work and an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality projects, this is an exciting opportunity to join a business where people are genuinely valued, ideas are listened to, and career progression comes naturally.

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping projects before they reach site, working closely with clients, consultants and internal delivery teams to ensure designs are coordinated, commercially viable and ready for successful delivery.

The M&E Pre-Construction Manager will take ownership of the building services design process from concept through to completion, ensuring projects are technically robust, fully coordinated and delivered in line with programme requirements.

Responsibilities will include:

Managing the development of building services designs through the pre-construction phase.
Coordinating external design consultants and specialist subcontractors.
Leading technical workshops and attending design team meetings.
Developing practical and cost-effective Contractor Design Portion (CDP) solutions.
Managing the BIM process alongside the in-house Revit team.
Preparing and issuing technical submittals.
Working closely with commercial and delivery teams to ensure procurement strategies, programmes and budgets remain aligned.
Ensuring compliance with Employer's Requirements, Building Regulations and industry standards.
Supporting the commercial management of projects throughout the design phase, including contractual documentation where required. The ideal candidate will have experience within either an M&E contractor or Building Services consultancy environment and will be confident managing the design process from pre-construction through to project delivery.

Applicants should have:

A Building Services qualification (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent experience).
Experience managing M&E design on commercial building projects.
A good understanding of building services installation methods.
Knowledge of BIM, Revit and Navisworks.
Commercial awareness with an understanding of how design impacts project delivery.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive approach with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams. What's on Offer
£70,000 - £80,000 salary.
Company pension.
Private healthcare.
Death in Service benefit.
29 days holiday including bank holidays, increasing with length of service.
On-site parking.
Health & Wellbeing initiatives.
The opportunity to join a growing contractor at an exciting stage of its journey, where every individual has the chance to make a genuine impact rather than feeling like just another number. If you're an experienced M&E Pre-Construction Manager looking to join a business with ambitious growth plans, interesting projects and a people-first culture, please get in touch.
