Bradford Children's Trust is seeking a skilled and dedicated Practice Supervisor to join our Duty and Assessment Team. This pivotal role involves leading and supporting a team of social workers to deliver high-quality assessments and safeguarding services to children and families in the Bradford area.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership and supervision to a team of social workers, ensuring they receive the guidance and support needed to carry out their duties effectively.
Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of assessments and interventions, ensuring they meet statutory requirements and best practice standards.
Case Management: Assist in the management of complex cases, providing expert advice and decision-making support.
Safeguarding: Ensure the safeguarding of children and young people is prioritized, adhering to all relevant legislation and protocols.
Training and Development: Identify training needs within the team and facilitate ongoing professional development opportunities.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor team performance, providing feedback and implementing improvement plans as necessary.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective service delivery.Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker: Must be a registered Social Worker with a recognized qualification.
Experience: Substantial experience in children's social work, particularly in duty and assessment settings.
Supervisory Skills: Proven experience in supervising and leading a team of social workers.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and relevant legislation.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with team members and external partners.
