Practice Payroll / Bookkeeping Officer
Location: Enfield, EN1 1SJ
Salary: £25 to 30K, DOE
Contract: Permanent, flexible part-time hours.
Hours: 9am to 5.00pm

We aim to provide cost-effective, high-value financial solutions which are tailored to your specific requirements and specialise in survival arrangements for businesses with liquidity problems.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and ambitious Payroll / Bookkeeping Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will have huge scope for developing their knowledge and skills.
Payroll / Bookkeeping Officer - Skills and experience:
* You will be working on many payrolls of varying sizes and would ideally have experience with Xero or Brightpay Payroll.
* High-level Xero skills, Xero accreditation desirable - Knowledge of Sage / QuickBooks desirable too.
* You will be dealing with end-to-end payroll, including payroll journals, importing/exporting csv files, holiday pay, statutory deductions and auto-enrolment.
* You will be dealing with payroll queries and will need to demonstrate strong payroll legislation knowledge as well as the ability to establish good working relationships with your client base.
* You will need to be comfortable working in Excel and have at least 3 years relevant work experience in a bureau environment.
* You will need to be self-motivated, professional and adaptable as you will be expected to work independently from home.
* Good organisational and communication skills are a must.

* Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines
* Diplomatic, discreet, polite and patient
* Punctual and reliable
* You will need to be self-motivated, professional and adaptable as you will be expected to work independently from home, as well as part of a team
* Good organisational and communication skills are a must
* You will need to have your own PC with a printer and a good broadband connection
