Practice Nurse – Permanent
Central London

£21-£24 per hour (depending on experience
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Practice Nurse to join a busy and dynamic practice in Central London. This is a permanent position with an attractive hourly rate and opportunities for professional development and upskilling. We are looking for someone who can start before November.
Key Responsibilities:
* Treatment Room Duties:
* Managing routine booked appointment clinics.
* Performing venepuncture, ECGs, dressings, and wound management.
* Administering childhood immunisations, ear care, and cervical smears.
* Handling 'walk-in' emergencies, minor injuries, and workplace accidents.
* Chronic Disease Management:
* Participating in the management of patients with chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes.
* Providing health promotion and lifestyle advice, including referrals to community services.
* Assisting in ensuring all QOF and enhanced service targets are met.
* Additional Duties:
* Offering contraception and sexual health advice.
* Assisting in the organisation and implementation of vaccination campaigns (e.g., Influenza, Meningitis, MMR, HPV).
* Ensuring compliance with infection control measures, CQC standards, and other regulatory requirements.
About the Practice:
The practice serves a patient population of 20,000 and is supported by a dedicated team comprising 11 GPs, 1 trainee GP, 2 nurses, 2 mental health nurses, 2 HCAs, and 4 therapists. This supportive and collaborative environment provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development.
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
* Experience in a primary care setting, particularly with treatment room duties and chronic disease management.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
