Description:
We have partnered with a cutting-edge healthcare partnership and training practice in Hampshire. They have a list size of approx. 19,000 patient. They are dedicated to improving patient services and training and developing clinicians for the future. They are actively seeking a new Practice Nurse to join their diverse and experienced team of healthcare professionals.
Position Details:
* Job Title: Practice Nurse.
* Job Type: Full time or part-time flexible hours available.
* Location: Hampshire (near Havant)
* Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum with an extensive benefits package including personal development opportunities (CPD leave entitlement) and much more.
* Team: Large practice of around 80 staff this includes 32 PCN staff that support them and the other 4 practices in the PCN. 6 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GP's, 3 Nurse Practitioners, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 Nursing Associate and 4 HCA's. Team of around 20 Patient support team (PST) plus a small team of Secretaries.
Main Duties:
* Identify, and manage as appropriate, treatment plans for patients both at risk of developing a long-term condition and diagnosed chronic disease
* Undertake cervical cytology screening, suture and clip removal, recognition of mild childhood illnesses as well as testing pathology samples e.g. blood, urine.
* Dressing and wound management, including compression bandaging/hosiery and Doppler/leg Ulcer care.
* Respiratory Care Asthma & COPD plus aid/chaperone to GP during clinical procedures, e.g. minor operations etc.
* Vaccinations/Injections, childhood immunisations, travel vaccination schedules and routine injection e.g. B12, Prostap, Denosumab.
