Description:

Qualified Accountant / Accountancy Practice Manager

Location: Cwmbran and surrounding areas
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced, qualified accountant looking for the opportunity to help build something from the ground up?

We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded accountant to play a key role in establishing and developing a new accountancy practice in the Cwmbran area.

This is an opportunity for someone with a strong accountancy practice background who can combine technical expertise and client management with an entrepreneurial approach to growing a business.

You will take responsibility for managing client relationships and delivering a range of accountancy, tax and compliance services, while helping shape the future direction and growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a portfolio of clients, providing a professional and reliable accountancy service.

* Oversee accounts preparation, taxation and compliance work.

* Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and understand their business needs.

* Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships and attract new business.

* Help establish the practice's processes, systems and service standards.

* Contribute to business development, growth planning and the development of the firm's reputation.

* Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently and in line with relevant professional and regulatory requirements.

* Take a proactive role in developing the practice and helping it achieve its commercial objectives.

About You

* At least three years' experience working within an accountancy practice.

* Fully qualified ACCA or ACA/ICAEW.

* Experience managing client portfolios and delivering accounts preparation, tax and compliance services.

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

* Commercially aware, organised and confident managing your own workload.

* An entrepreneurial mindset, with the motivation to help grow a business from the ground up.

* The confidence to take ownership, make decisions and contribute to the development of a new practice.

Essential requirement – Practising Certificate

You must hold a current practising certificate or be able to demonstrate that you meet the relevant professional body's requirements to obtain one. This is a non-negotiable requirement and will be verified as part of the recruitment process. Being ACCA or ICAEW qualified does not, in itself, confirm eligibility.

What's on Offer?

* The opportunity to play a key role in establishing a new accountancy practice.

* Genuine scope to influence how the business develops and grows.

* The chance to combine hands-on accountancy work with business development and commercial responsibility.

* A role offering greater ownership, responsibility and the opportunity to make a lasting contribution.

* Competitive remuneration, dependent on experience.

Interested?

If you're a qualified accountant with accountancy practice experience, the right professional credentials and the ambition to help build a growing business, we'd like to hear from you.
